Miss A turns 6 today!

I love my little best friend so very much.
I'm glad we have each other in this family of boys!

 Miss A is:

1 - Helpful (Like really, really helpful! If I need anything, she's there wanting to know what she can do, too.)

2 - A Planner (She makes plans & doesn't forget them, or let you forget them.)

3 - Considerate (If she's aware of a need, she will try to fill it. She considers how others feel, she wants to make others happy.)

4 - Funny (she is such a ham and loves to make people happy. Also, she has one of the VERY BEST LAUGHS.)

5 - Genuine (she has many friends, and honestly treats them all as such. With Audrey, what you see is truly who she is.)

6 - Passionate (I love this trait in her, she is dedicated to what she feels/know/wants and goes for it. She is not afraid of hard work.)

I love you, Miss A!!

I find myself, once again, neglecting my blog. It just seems that there's so much more to focus my time on lately. I will revisit as often as I feel I can/want to take my time away from my beautiful family.

Sometimes I feel the pull to write when there's been something tugging at my soul, or an event happens that I just know needs to be documented.

Other times I write for the creative outlet.

Typically, it's because I have such cute kiddos that I want to share them.

Coming soon will be a post about what I have come to identify as a trait that makes me who I am. I am sure I am not the only one who feels the way I do, and I want to be a voice in the world, letting others know that they are not alone.

Stay tuned for more.

Please excuse my absence... we've been busy having a bit of fun.

Today is Miss A's first day of Kindergarten and Mr T's 3rd day of 2nd grade

As my littles lay down for their post lunch naps, I am trying not to worry about the "big kids", as they call themselves.

I am trying not to think about how the leadership skills are so strong with Miss A, that even I at times think, "Just stop being bossy!"

I hope that, as I try to do, her teacher will think, "this it a girl I can have help and rely on to get things done".

I am trying not to think about how in a group setting Mr T's shyness is crippling. How, even if he's friends with every kid in the group, when it's more than himself and one friend, he feels left out and is not equipped to invite himself into the group. I try not to think about how before the year started, his biggest fears were 1- bullies and 2 - not having friends, and how after just two days, he already has anxiety over feeling excluded (I am sure not on purpose) at lunch time.

I hope that he can over come his fear, and join in. I hope that he will make more friends and remember to look for another child who doesn't have someone to play with, so the two of them can play. I pray he learns to value himself as a child of God, and not put too much weight on being invited to join in.

I am grateful to my friend, who I happened to run into at Hobby Lobby right after feeling overly upset for Mr T, who understood and let me cry to her, right there in the models isle. My friend who listened, advised and reassured me.

I am grateful to know that even when life is hard, our Father in Heaven is there to give comfort and will send his angels (heavenly and/or earthly) to provide comfort.
